The Aware Consumer State Awards 2017
With growing need for digitization of public services, the Union government launched the Digital India initiative and has been encouraging the State governments to invest in digitisation for increasing transperancy and accountability.
In this regard, the second edition of Aware Consumer State Awards focussed on evaluating the transperancy of public services and the level of digitization in each State. With knowledge support from Quality Council of India, the methodology and the evaluation matrix were improved and made more comprehensive.
The edition was supported by Department of Consumer Affairs of Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. The event also led to a consensus between all stakeholders to take this initiative forward for building a NEW INDIA by 2022 in the interest of the Indian Consumers.
